The Oratorio Society of Virginia presents A Choral Cornucopia
$30 reserved seats, $20 general admission, $10 students
Under the direction of L. Thomas Vining, the 90-voice chorus of The Oratorio Society of Virginia starts its 44th season with a program to delight all tastes from classical to popular. Enjoy the delightful "Lovesong Waltzes" by Brahms accompanied by piano duet, a speaking chorus by Toch, arrangements from Bernstein's "Candide," and opera choruses by Offenbach and Gilbert & Sullivan. The chorus will also perform the American tune, "Down by the Riverside," arranged by the famed English composer John Rutter.

Their music is a zestful blend of traditional gospel with a twist of contemporary, showcasing the group's amazing vocal harmonies from the high-flying falsettos of the first tenor, to the deep rich sounds of the low bass.
