The overall goal of PVCC's QEP is to improve students' writing. The College will have met this goal when assessment results show that prospective graduates are achieving the target results established for each of the seven QEP Student Learning Outcomes.
Multiple measures will be used to assess students' writing proficiency and writing-related behaviors and perceptions:
- Writing proficiency will be assessed with the PVCC Writing Rubric and two standardized writing assessments (COMPASS e-Write).
- Behaviors and perceptions will be assessed with an internally developed survey as well as the widely used Community College Survey of Student Engagement.
