Coordinator for Student Life and Campus Engagement Mary-Evelyn Sellars has received the 2024 Maggie Nicholas Spirit Award. As shared in her nomination, Sellars “has an unparalleled ability to make everyone feel seen, valued and appreciated.

NAACP Tamyra Kaye Turner Memorial Scholarship Awardees

Congratulations to PVCC students Fatema Mohammad, Kimberly de la Cruz and Owen Brown, the 2024 recipients of Albemarle-Charlottesville NAACP Branch Tamyra K. Turner Memorial Scholarships. The recipients were recognized at a luncheon, December 12. Brown and Mohammad each received $1,000 awards and de la Cruz received a $1,500 award.

UVA Office for Sustainability Tours Bolick Center

The University of Virginia (UVA) Office for Sustainability staff recently had the opportunity to tour the new Woodrow W. Bolick Advanced Technology and Student Success Center. Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services Scott Jefferies welcomed the group and provided them with a tour of the building.
