Congratulations to PVCC students Fatema Mohammad, Kimberly de la Cruz and Owen Brown, the 2024 recipients of Albemarle-Charlottesville NAACP Branch Tamyra K. Turner Memorial Scholarships. The recipients were recognized at a luncheon, December 12. Brown and Mohammad each received $1,000 awards and de la Cruz received a $1,500 award. 

The University of Virginia (UVA) Office for Sustainability staff recently had the opportunity to tour the new Woodrow W. Bolick Advanced Technology and Student Success Center. Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services Scott Jefferies welcomed the group and provided them with a tour of the building.

Thomas Jefferson Adult and Career Education (TJACE) ESL student Honada Almualem was recently published in The Change Agent, a publication by and for adult learners. Almualem is from Syria and studied clinical nutrition for a year in Jordan. She is eager to make a positive impact in this society and continue studying nutrition.
